Create Bot — Add a New Chatbot or AI Agent in Botsify

Create a new bot in your Botsify workspace by specifying a name and the type of agent you want to build. You can optionally base the bot on a pre-built template to get started quickly. The response includes the new bot’s unique ID and API key, which you will use in subsequent calls.

The display name for your new bot. This name appears in your Botsify workspace dashboard.

The type of agent to create. Accepted values:

chatbot — a standard rule-based or AI-powered chat agent
agent — an autonomous AI agent capable of multi-step reasoning
voice — a voice-enabled bot for telephony or voice interfaces

An optional pre-built template slug to initialise the bot with a pre-configured set of flows, responses, and settings.

Response

A successful 200 OK response returns a JSON object with the newly created bot’s identifiers.

`api_key`	string	The bot-level API key used to send queries and manage the bot.
`bot_name`	string	The name you provided at creation time.
