Set Active Agent Version — POST /api/v1/set-active-version

Use this endpoint to switch your agent to a different saved version. Once a version is set as active, all new conversations handled by that bot will use its configuration — including instructions, chat flow, memory, soul, identity, and user info — immediately, with no restart required.

Only one version can be active at a time. Setting a new version as active automatically deactivates the previously active version. The switch takes effect immediately for all new conversations.

Request

POST https://app.botsify.com/api/v1/set-active-version Authorization: Bearer token — include your token in the Authorization: Bearer <token> header.

Body Parameters

The ID of the version you want to make active. You can retrieve available version IDs using the List Agent Versions endpoint.

string

The identifier of the bot to which the version belongs. Required when your token has access to multiple bots.
