# Send Inbox Thread Message — POST /api/v1/send-message

> Post a message into a user inbox conversation thread in Botsify. Provide the bot ID, user session fbId, and message text to insert into the thread.

Use this endpoint to inject a message directly into a user's inbox conversation thread within Botsify. By specifying the bot ID, the user's session identifier (`fbId`), and the message content, you can insert text into an ongoing inbox thread — useful for agent handoffs, automated follow-ups, or adding system-generated context into a live conversation.

## Request

**`POST https://app.botsify.com/api/v1/send-message`**

**Authorization:** Bearer token — include your token in the `Authorization: Bearer <token>` header.

### Body Parameters

**bot\_id** `integer` *required*

The unique identifier of the bot whose inbox thread you want to post into.

**fbId** `string` *required*

The session identifier for the user whose inbox conversation thread should receive the message. This is the same `fbId` used across other Botsify conversation endpoints.

**message** `string` *required*

The text content of the message to post into the inbox thread.

## Example

```bash theme={null}
curl --request POST \
  --url "https://app.botsify.com/api/v1/send-message" \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer <your_token>" \
  --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --data '{
    "bot_id": 42,
    "fbId": "user_9876",
    "message": "A support agent will be with you shortly. Thank you for your patience."
  }'
```

## Response

A successful request returns `200 OK` confirming the message was posted to the inbox thread.

```json theme={null}
{
  "success": true,
  "bot_id": 42,
  "fbId": "user_9876",
  "message_id": "inbox_msg_00456",
  "timestamp": "2024-06-10T16:00:00Z"
}
```
